over proposed rezoning of 47 acres near I-75 from agricultural-residential to light manufacturing for an office/warehouse complex.
the development will be off truckstop way/short road behind two exisiting truck stops on the east side of I-75 off highway 36. part of the site is in butts county
the commission approved the rezoning with multiple restrictions that seemed to appease most of those from our neighboring counties.
most were concerned with water quality at high falls lake where the water quality is already dismal and swimming is reportedly illegal.
the question is, how much sway do you feel residents of neighboring counties should have over lamar county zoning decisions?

since when did the citizens from other counties have a say so in our county. Do they send us tax money or do they just want to prevent us from receiving any help with out tax base from businesses. And don't hand me this crap about it impacts thier "environment" so they have a right.
Hey Monroe & Butts: Take care of your own a$$ and stay out of our business.
