i think it is his brother. cicero is alive but in a nursing home somewhere. i am trying to find out where.
cicero was a bad man in his day. got hit by a train on the driver' side of his truck. it knocked him out the passenger side window and about 50 yards down the tracks and he was complaining about having to get in the ambulance when i got there.
also got hit by a car and returned to work as a barnesville police officer.
I remember John Greene! His mother, Grace, was my Sunday School teacher for several years. Grace was the sister to Harvey Burnette, who owned Burnette's grocery close to the old Ritz theatre. I remember John being devilish and carefree!! My brother, Billy Weaver, attended Gordon Military College with John. Yes, Cicero and Mountain Greene were his brothers. Another BARNESVILLE Boy done good!!
I heard Cicero speak at FBC Barnesville once when I was a kid. I don't remember all of what he spoke about, but I do recollect one his stories in Korea. Something about him and a specific number of men were trapped somewhere in heavy combat. Then out of the blue a US soldier in a brand new spotless and crisp uniform showed up. This soldier got them out of where they were and then mysteriously disappeared. He alluded to the fact that they were saved by an angel. Anyone got more specifics on that story?
