Barnesville just doesn't want to support the kind of entertainment they were offering at their establishment. I don't think you will see too many places like this trying to open here.
I am not surprised. I didnt think it was appropriate. The person who had this, if this is what makes him feel good, go to Atlanta, Macon, Jacksonville, Savannah, those places could allow him to have a place like that.
well the place was pretty crappy to start with. the food was WAY over priced, drinks had an Atlanta price tag and the whole atmosphere just sucked.
Certainly not in this backward co.
Wake up! why not make a little money and provide entertainment for the people by permitting this bikini contest. They guys see just about everything on the streets any way!
If I had to guess, I would say not enough working capital and spending too much time fighting beauracratic red tape. I don't think it has anythign to do with the type of entertainment they were providing. I think they failed for the same reasons most start-ups fail; lack of cash-flow and lack of knowledge of business management/ownership.
Anon 11:32, ever bought a drink in Atlanta? There is still a sign on the side of the building that advertises beer for 1.75. Go to atlanta and try to get that. I paid 3.75 for a bud lite last week in atlanta.
With the bikini contests, I would have thought my soon to be ex could have kept them in business. Oh well...
well this one may have failed but its coming, and it won't be long.you bunch of old bible blind hipocrits that run to church as soon as the doors open then slip out behind the shed for a little nip, will be shocked when the real world finaly creeps into town, and your little world gets turned upside down,
A restraurant needs good food and good service. Period. People love to eat out if the food is good.
ANON 1:06- The words blind and Bible do not go together. You get the Truth from the Scriptures. The Bible speaks against drunkedness, but not drinking alcohol itself. I would rather be a Christian who makes a mistake from time to time, and still has forgiveness rather than a person who has no hope because they do not know Christ.
Which are you?
temporary cheater's wife.....
well, if he's that desperate he can take his little self to griffin if that is what makes him happy. atleast he will have to travel and waste gas for that.
temporary cheater's wife,
what are you doing saturday night?
I suppose nothing. Looks like my plans to put on the old bikini and slither down to the LIE-brary won't be working out. I suppose I'll be on the prowl for packing tape, trash bags and brawny men to lift and load. And drinking a glass of tangy fresh freedom on the rocks. Hallelujah!
To anyone thinking of opening an individually owned, non-franchised restuarant, please note, the odds are much greater for failure than success. It doesn't matter what town or state it is located in either.
Not every eating establishment should cater to the sreaming and disruptive kids of society. If you want to take your kids out to eat there are plenty of Micky Dees's around with the lousiest food ever served. Go there! An establishment that is opened for the entertainment of Adults should not be closed down. The adults will just take their money and go to another city. Why not keep the money in Barnesville.
TOUGH KA-KA.
