Absentee balloting has been a source of major fraud in Barnesville and Lamar for decades. It has been investigated by the state and always the investigation disappears. I expect the same will happen this time.

Why did the names of the three individuals just disappear?

Too late!

Since we all know who I will not refer to names for now. But I will say I am surprised. I know one of the 3 worked hard for Rick last year because he asked me to vote for him. What happened?

Never mind to the names disappearing.
My computer was not downloading properly.

Sorry for the confusion.

Is that Dr. Harris?

Hey Walter,

Thanks for the up-to-date news coverage. Your wannabe competition has nothing to report as of 6:00pm on the SEB.
He just now put information about the Land Swap Public hearing.

MAYBE HE SHOULD CALL HIS THE HISTORY STATION!

I agree with anon 5:29pm but I don't believe this will just disappear. I think we are about to witness the SEB make an example of those guilty of voter fraud in GA. Karen Handel has a firm hand on things.

The days of a certain few in communities going around voting for thier people is coming to an end.

This goes for Dem. & Rep. Black & White, etc.

Also, the local churches that engage in "how to vote sermons" needs to stop.

I am shocked of the alledged 3. However, I know for a fact there are more that just have not been caught. Watch the next election in Lamar Co. The regulars that "work the vote" and are usually engaged in the election of thier candidates will become disengaged and afraid to even put up a yard sign fearful of thier past practices.

What does this mean? No wrong found with County? Can we file a counter suit against Rick & Ann to get the leagl cost back for the taxpayers.

Until we put some sting in the suit happy people it will not stop because they have no life and are mad at the world.

Warning Sheriff Buice! Rick will find a reason to file a suite against your department next.

I checked the "History Station" this morning. Still nothing from them on the SEB. It is evident they had a reproter at the capitol yesterday because of the John B. Gordon photo. Did they not have the necessary credentials to get in the hearing? Or did the story not turn out like they thought?

I am just wondering why now the election has become a problem. For one the two candidates lost. If they had won do you think anything would have been said. The year that Ms. Turner won did she complain about the registras office? I guess if the election was rigged for Rick McCreary to lose, it was rigged for Jay Matthews to win because the same people worked the elections. When people are running for a seat, they will smile in your face and use people to get where they want to be,once they are in the seat the boot change. During elections there is no one sided work group, there are a lot of people who handles the elections, Probate Court, registras office, Doreen Eidman, Gretchen Elerby, Barbara Hardin, Walter Geiger, Kim Dean, Donna Street, and Keith Courtney whom is a Diebold represenative. So I guess all of these people worked together to run a scam, so Rick McCreary could lose by a mere 8 votes and for Ms. Turner to be defeated as well. For the record Lamar County was not the only county that had some discrepancies with the election. This is just a case of being a sore a** loser. It don't seem as if Mr. Rick McCreary is grieving that much about the lost, he has gone from suing the county to becoming a county employee as an investigator at the Lamar County Sheriff's Office.

Regardless of who wins or loses an election, the voters lose if there has been fraud of any kind.... even if your candidate came out on top. I don't believe that this investigation has anything to do with being a sore loser. We are all losers if the integrity of the vote is suspect.

NOTHING was done intentionally. I guess everyone who handles elections in some form or shape committed fraud together.

Please give a little more detail as to what the 3 individuals are "alledged" to have done. How do you mishandle an absentee ballot that would result in breaking the law?

Walter,

Do you have the audio of the SEB hearing? If so, please play it.

I was always under the impression that the three individuals being investigated were working for Rick.

Politics is strange.

Good for Rick and Ann.

The state elections board has decided there is enough that looks like fraud or improper activities to turn this over to to the Attorney General.

Let's hope the Attorney General prosecutes the people who improperly manipulated votes.

They should also prosecute those who allowed non residents to vote.

What county in it's right thinking mind whoul allow relatives to handle votes when relatives are running. Only in Lamar.

Good riddence Bobby.

Dear 11:00,

It might be of benefit to remind you of who started all of this on line local news business.

It was the "Cowards and CAVE People first, followed by the 'history channel,' and then you pal here had no choice but to try and compete.

That can't be done profitably while trying to run a printed newspaper.

It would also be worth noting that the "history channel' is kickin it even though they've been outnumbered 10 to 1 for over a year.

Now go and suck up some more and see where it gets you.

I bet there will not be near as many absentee ballots cast in the next elections to come. I even bet we will see lower voter turn out in elections to come.

I believe people will be hesitant to get involved with supporting thier party of candidate of choice.

Not saying anything good or bad about that. Just a thought.

It says a lot about a little community when individual citizens must go through all these motions in order to get local government to abide by the law. I just don't know what it's saying. Then you have those that try and defend the bad actions. What's worse? Those comitting the actions or those defending them?
