while we do appreciate the fact that we get to keep a little more of our hard earned money i have to ask where is all the damn money from the lottery??? the state has to be making a killing because i stand in line almost every day behind people holding fist fulls of play slips and scratch off junkies. (BTW, I think the lottery is great! its about time some of this govt money makes its way back into the system.)
OMG, you have got to be kidding right? Lottery money funds HOPE scholarships/Grants.
OMG, where were you when we as a state were told that tons of money from lottery sales would be going to school systems, not just grants and colleges. this is just another bull$h!t way of funneling money to finance pet projects of politicians.
Hello, PRE-K?
how bout we put those few dimes to better use like uh, oh i don't know
MAKING SURE THAT ALL GRADUATES PASS THE STATE TESTS?
i do see a need for pre-k and i think that its a wonderful program but our state education program as a whole is severly lacking. compare us to other states, we rank pretty low to the bottom as i remember it. (third?)
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
(ga state lottery commision)
I heard they were going to do away with the state test....maybe thats just a rummor but it is sad when someone is passing all of their required classes and do not get a diploma because of one test. I have read horror stories about straght A students with scolorships to college not getting their high school diploma because of failing part of the state test.
Gee, I am so grateful to the school board for trying to divert my attention by not raising the miilage rate so they can pick my pocket with SPLOST.
