Elementary SCHOOL, Primary SCHOOL, Middle SCHOOL, SCHOOL Bus Facility (have I mentioned SCHOOL) all surround this property. This was a no brainer that the SCHOOLS should use this property. What other better use? Not the current use. Have you seen what is there now? Looks like a bomb went off and blew a hole in the earth.

I dont do public hearings and meetings. I have confidence in our elected officials and this was no exception. My husband and myself were currious after reading in the paper so we drove out to see the property in question. Not haveing reason to venture out Roberta drive over the years we had no idea what was there. I must say that we were surprised to see the condition of the property. What is all the digging for. Is sometging being constructed? There is no doubt that the school system should use this to further expand the school campus. Why has this not been done before now? The children deserve better than the surroundings around thier schools now. Hurry up and clean up.

The only public hearing I will ever attend is if my taxes go up. Cut my taxes and you wont hear from me.
Law Enforcement: I can defend my property.(Smith & Wesson)
Fire Dept: I have insurance, let it burn. (State Farm)
Cut my right-of-way: I have a mower. (John Deere)
Ambulance:I can drive my own sick a$$ to the doctor. (Truck)
Roads: Dirt was good enough for my parents and grandparents.
Schools: Independent

Ya'll got the point. Take responsibility and stop depending on the Government.

How can Johnny Poore be the acting county manager when there was not one before and there is no legislation approving one now? The County has always been on the short end of the stick when it comes to land swap deals and/or money deals.

Maybe it is time to get the necessary legislation to make him the fulltime manager.

ANON 7:07

Please explain how the county came out on the short end of the stick.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like a win-win situation for both government entities and the tax payers.

Johnny Poore for Governor!

Kind of embarassing to both sides of the blog. Nobody shows up to find out from the responsible parties what's going on. But we'll keep on blogging. We won't let the truth stand in our way, no matter what it is.

I can't wait to have the new facilities for our children. Way past due to do this. The tennis courts, baseball field are first class facilities for Lamar County. My sons are excited. One will be a junior this year so will miss the chance to play football at new stadium. My sixth grader will.

Thank you for giving them something to be proud of and doing this for them and others.

Does this mean Roberta Drive will finally get paved? Hard to believe this is a major road in Lamar County serving the schools and Sheriff office.

I still dont care about all this stuff and paving roads or whatever.
just stop taxing us to death.
i will vote yes to the splost to keep it off my house. i dont buy much anyway.

Just another facility for the youth of lamar co. to vandalize.
But maybe they should be built another facility so that they don't feel the need to destroy other people's mailboxes. Don't
these fools know that vandalizing mailboxes is a federal offense or do they just not care? They need to be caught and punished.

Anonymous said...

who was on the ag authority any way?

Anonymous said...

If the kids around here had something to do then maybe they wouldn't have time to vandalize mailboxes. There is absolutely nothing for them to do.

Anonymous said...

teach em to ride horses and take care of them. so much fun and time involved they will not have time to get in trouble.

hurry up and cover the arena

Anonymous said...

What?? You mean they are finally tired of playing video games and eating. They should have outside chores to do before the fun begins.
It is not our responsibility to pay for the cost of entertaining your offspring. Put their minds and bodies to work doing something for the betterment of themselves and their parents.

Anonymous said...

It is your responsibility to keep replacing your mailbox. If it was your mailbox, I hope they get it again.

How did you take my comment and turn it into something you think you would have to pay for?

Anonymous said...

get your ungly mail box off the right-of-way.

Anonymous said...

No they haven't touched my mailbox yet but they will get a big surprise when they do. My mail box is not on the right of way and the scoundrels that vandalize mailboxes should be made to go out and apologize to every person that he did vandalize and also have to pay to replace each and everyone of them with holediggers and good old sweat equity. Sorry so and so's
and also pick up everybit of garbage along the roadside as well.
That include every cigarette butt and ant hill too.

It is not just my resposibility to replace my own personal property because some damn idiotic person decides he needs to vent. If they are ever caught they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. It is a federal offence to vandalize mailboxes and also a felony!! Dumba$$ son of a Bi---es

Anonymous said...

I still want ot know who asked you to entertain my offspring? With your tax dollars? You are the dumb ass.

Anonymous said...

ya both sound like one

Anonymous said...

We may sound like dumbasses but you are the biggest. The land did not just drop from thin air the taxpayers paid for it. Therefore I did have to help pay. Back in the good ole days we didn't have to have different schools the buses didn't have to run the same run the same route for five or six different times. Punishment was given by the bus driver and the kids did not do such mean and spitful things just to kill time.

924 what are you trying to say? You make no sense.

Hes just mad because someone knocked down his mailbox.
