iphone debuts this evening..
as much as i like all things apple, concerns about the cingular/att network in our area will cause me to stay on the sidelines for awhile.
what about you?
which firm is your wireless carrier? how is coverage here?

Has anyone else ever read "Cell" by Steven King? Kinda makes you think...Really good book!
Had cingular years ago, but the coverage was lousy. Customer Service was great, but my phone was useless in Barnesville. Switched to Verizon, coverage is great but customer service is lousy.
Agree it's customer no service with the downtown Barnesville Verizon dealer but there's great service with New Millenium Verizon in Griffin's Roses shopping center.
Verizon has great plans and great service. We deal with Griffin too. We had trouble with billing at one time, but that has gotten a lot better. The bad thing about cell phones, now, is that you have to be a rocket scientist to know how to do everything on them...or ask your teenager. :-)
They can buy cell phones, ipods, satellite tv, cool rims for the ride, etc. but expect the "government" (IE: hard working, income tax paying, property tax paying, citizens)to pay for thier childrens basic needs, PeachCare Insurance, education, recreation activites, etc.
The system has busted in our face and it is our fault for letting it.
Thank the LORD!! Somebody in this town agrees with me and is not afraid to say so. Our young people expect the gov't. and other people to support them. Like they say "IF YOU CAN'T FEED 'EM DON'T BREED 'EM!One of teh requirements for a young parent should be to attend parenting classes and work to at least try to help in the support of the offspring that they have.
i have verizon and agree with anon 113, coverage is awesome but their customer service sucks! until i feel my kids are responsible enough for a cell phone they will not get one! iphone looks cool, but it sure takes away from sitting on your couch after a long day a work and being able to watch tv to unwind.
i think apple made a bad decision in selecting cingular/att for their carrier. they should have chose a network that had access all over, like verizon. we will see. i am very contect with my mint chocolate from verizon. i don't need to be able to watch tv and what not on my phone, it's a phone!
T-Mobile has excellent plans and excellent service. I've been with them for 5 years now and I wish they had cells in Barnesville. I have two cell phones with them at 1000 minutes with free nights and weekend and free calls within T-mobile network at $39.99 per month 1 year plan. My second phone is the same plan with 1500 minutes at 49.99. My two daughters really need T-mobile in Barnesville.

In regards to Iphone. I hope people dont try to play all the games and stuff, while they are driving, or at church.
How many people will let thier kids be taken care of by the gov., but have this phone in thier pocket, sad- sad day in America.

Most phone out today suck! I have and ipod and it has never let me down, so I trust that their phone will be just as good.
I just will not got to cingular.
Great commercials guys. You managed to represent almost every cell phone carrier. I'm sure your bosses will be pleased.
