Seeks illegal alien status
I have been a citizen of the United States of America for three score and nine years. I would now like to apply for illegal alien status and start receiving all of the free benefits and "money for nothing" (circa 1977 Dire Straits).
I understand as an illegal alien, I can have a bogus driving license and no automobile insurance. I can use the emergency room at any hospital as my "primary-care provider" free. I can then cancel my auto insurance and my health insurance and save thousands in premiums.
Furthermore, I can move to a sanctuary city and state and not be arrested or charged for any crimes that I commit. I can get false identification documents, claim as many dependents as necessary to avoid paying state and federal income taxes.
It will be great to be an illegal alien in the "United States of Nothing." Of course, I will need to change my name and qualify as a "minority" so I can receive the full protection of the U.S. Congress, ACLU, PETA, Rainbow Coalition and The New York Times. What a country!

A darn good idea.
These politicians right now are actually considering to let all these illegals become legal. Get ready for the increase in unemployment when these Mexicans have to start paying all the taxes we do and won't be able to claim 25 kids on their taxes when they do pay. We should never let this happen but what can we do? March in the streets, flip over cars and burn down buildings? I've got to work,.. the cars we'll flip will belong to people like us more than likely... and the buildings will be small businesses and we'll foot the bill for cleaning up and rebuilding everything anyway. This has gotten way out of hand, but what do you do right now.

Maybe we should all move to Mexicoe! I hear they have less Mexican's over there. I wonder if they would welcome us and treat us the way our government has treated them in America. We need to do something while we still have time (if we still have time).
At the rate the "minorities & illegals" in this country are having babies - the Caucasians are soon to be the minority.
I can hardly wait to get all my government benefits and free hand outs once that happens.. heck I doubt I'll even have to work and surely my grandchildren will go to college for free.
Oh yeah just think .. then we'll have our own clubs.. foundations... oh the possibilities are endless... and then no one will be able to criticize us... because hey.. we'll be the minority.. and that's just not politically correct ;)

If this doesn't pass we need to start a boycott of all businesses with illegals working there and turn those businesses in to the city and county and demand action against them or THEIR jobs will be on the line.
This is happening around the US in small towns everywhere. We could ask for resignations from our law enforcement for not enforcing the law, which they take an oath to do.
Let's start holding these law enforcement officials responsible and if they don't have the funding to ship the illegals back we'll have fund raisers and sell burritos and Corona. We get full & hammered- the Mexicans get the boot & slammer!

I must be living in a different world because Mexicans (legal or illegal) have never bothered me. I have never been harassed by one or had one beg me down for a dollar in a parking lot. Most of the ones that I know work all day (up at daylight and at home at dark.) They have kids and they want their kids to do better in life than they have done. Most of the jobs the Mexicans are doing are not jobs I want my family members to aspire to do. If they want to do grunt work that most Americans now find beneath them, I don't mind if they stay here and do it. But if they are going to stay here and work we should have sometype of program in place so we can track and tax them for the benefit of living and raising a family here in the US.
This is AMERICA land of the free home of the brave. If the mexican's are here illegally then lets send them back across the border until they can become American citizens. If they are here legally then they should be paying their fair share of the taxes and teaching their children how to speak English. The teachers do not get enough pay to teach in another lauguage. Unless they majored in Foreign languages at college.

"At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected?

So said Abe Lincoln to the Young Men's Lyceum in Springfield. Observing the Senate last week, and looking over the latest figures from the Census Bureau, America is now risking national suicide.
Last week, senators meeting in secret produced a bill to legalize our 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens. If a path to citizenship becomes law, nothing will stop the next invasion. As President Bush acknowledges, 6 million tried to breach our southern border in his first five years. One in 12 – 500,000 – had a criminal record. According to the Census Bureau, from mid-2005 to mid-2006, the U.S. minority population rose 2.4 million, to exceed 100 million. Hispanics, 1 percent of the population in 1950, are now 14.4 percent. Their total number has soared 25 percent since 2000 alone. The Asian population has also grown by 25 percent since 2000.
The number of white kids of school age fell 4 percent, however. Half the children 5 and younger in the United States are now minorities.
What is happening to us? An immigrant invasion of the United States from the Third World, as America's white majority is no longer even reproducing itself. Since Roe v. Wade, America has aborted 45 million of her children. And Asia, Africa and Latin America have sent 45 million of their children to inherit the estate the aborted American children never saw. God is not mocked.
And white America is in flight.
In the 1990s, for the first time since the Spanish came, whites left California. Two million departed. From July 1, 2005, to July 1, 2006, 100,000 more packed up and headed back whence their fathers came. The "Anglo" population of the Golden State is down to 43 percent and falling fast. White folks are now a minority in Texas and New Mexico. In Arizona, Hispanics account for over half the population under 20.
The future is not in doubt. Why ought this be of concern?
First, while the black and Hispanic population combined is now 85 million – five times what it was in 1960 – half of all black and Hispanic kids drop out of high school. And the average math and reading scores of the half who graduate are at seventh-, eighth- or ninth-grade levels.
And the future is not so sanguine as it seemed 50 years ago. As I write in "State of Emergency":
"In 1960, 18 million black Americans, 10 percent of the nation, were not fully integrated into society, but they had been assimilated into our culture. They worshiped the same God, spoke the same language, had endured the same Depression and war, watched the same TV shows on the same four channels, laughed at the same comedians, went to the same movies, ate the same foods, read the same newspapers and went to schools where, even when segregated, we learned the same history and literature and shared the same holidays: Christmas, New Year's, Washington's Birthday, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Columbus Day. Segregation existed, but black folks were as American as apple pie, having lived in this land longer than almost every other group save the Native Americans.
"That cultural unity, that sense that we were one people, is gone."
Today's immigrants exceed in number anything any nation has ever known. They now come from cultures and countries whose people have never before been assimilated by any First World country. Not only is the Melting Pot broken, it is rejected by our elites. Minorities are urged to hold onto their own language, customs, traditions. Identity politics is in. And the largest cohort, Mexicans, comes from a country with a historic grievance and a claim on the territory they are entering.
Moreover, since the cultural revolution of the 1960s, we have been fighting one another over issues of race and ethnicity, history, heroes and holidays, morality and religion, right and wrong.
All over the Western world, multiethnic, multicultural countries are coming apart over language, ethnicity, history. The Soviet Union broke into 15 nations, Yugoslavia into half a dozen. Czechs and Slovaks divorced. Scots want separation from England. Catalans and Basques seek independence. Corsicans and Bretons want out of France. Northern Italians want to secede. Only immigrants who prefer Ottawa prevent Quebecois from breaking free of Canada.
As we see from the election battles in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Mexico, race and ethnicity are not receding as issues, but rising. In South Central Los Angeles, black and Hispanic gangs are at war over race and turf.
Addressing the Knights of Columbus in 1915, Theodore Roosevelt warned, "The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities."
In every way possible, Americans have said they do not want to take this risk with their country. Why, then, are our elites taking it?

Go to LA or any other city where Mexicans have been around for a couple of generations, then you will see the truth about Mexicans- they will not work hard for long- they become dependent on the Government. If you have sympathy for these ILLEGALS then maybe you are their employer? I know some of you are. If congress doesn't get itself straight with this, then it's time to put on your s#!t kickers and kick some s#!t. I think they are begging us to revolt! If we don't take a stand against the illegals we will all be living on welfare. But then if the whites are the minority then we should be living on welfare and not supporting those people that do. For those who believe that the Mexicans have a good work ethic, please travel down to Mexico and look at what these people have done to their own mother land. It won't take long before this country resembles Mexico in all its glorious greatness. The real reason behind this is Democratic votes and possibly the only good that can come from this for Republicans is a stronger sense of faith in the community by the large number of Catholics becoming citizens. These people are just like the black community in the US today, they have a strong sense of faith (you will hardly ever meet an atheist black person) but will blindly follow leadership as long as that leader "claims" to speak for them (thanks to Al & Jesse you won't find many Republican blacks), and yes I know this is not ALL black people. These NEW Mexican citizen leaders will stand at the right hand of the Democratic party because of the Democrats strong allegiance with socialism, which insures every citizen in America will not be responsible for their own economic destiny and in return, lowers their will to work and better themselves. Did you know that the Dems just wrote another bill to fund the war, but this one doesn't have a time line, just an increase in Minimum Wage to 7.15 or so. What a damn joke and if you are worried about increasing Minimum Wage then you don't need to be reading this you need to have your uneducated butt enrolled in college or trying to find a job that will teach you a desirable skill, but back to the subject. We are going to open our arms to the uneducated (more than 50% of illegals do not have a high school education), with extremely low expectations in life (look at the cities where these people flourish, what a dump) and this is a Democrats dream come true. This is not the only way to solve this problem and its a crying shame to see the Republican Senators of this state getting on board with this thinking its the only hope.
Either the leaders of this country will do something or the citizens (HOPEFULLY) will band together and get some change for the better on their own.

The one thing I would encourage everyone to actually do is read the proposed legislation and not just what you hear on the news (the media today is the most slanted it has ever been.) The proposal is no cakewalk for the present illegal immigrants to become citizens. I actually think the legislation is to strict but I am bending for the sake of our country. I really believe most of you anti-illegal immigrant folks would like the actual wording and find it is no easy street to citizenship or even a work visa. But don't take my word for and dang sure don't take big liberal media's word for it, just read it for yourself.
90% of the problem plagueing mankind today originates from over population. I don't have any problem with the Hispanic population but I do have with this country's unwritten open border policy. With economic conditions favorable the population will naturally increase to capacity. As most all civil rights dilemmas the influent factor is money. Cheap labor is driving this problem......and just how cheap is this labor going to be when Jose and Padro becomes legal?
They will just be replaced with new illegals to fill the gap. Bussiness must be held accountable and finded harshly for the employment that creates this problem. The problem isn't the illegals but bussiness breaking the laws set to protect the American way of life.

You guys need to find something else to worry about other than Mexicans taking over the country. It ain't going down like that.
Two things, first, WDM has hit the nail on the head when it comes to the media, but the worst of all is there is a real lack of info on this, this has changed now, but when it first appeared media networks were looking for answers but there weren't any. OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS WEREN"T FILLING US IN, but they were ready as hell to vote on this. The bill is 1000 pages long, please tell me if I'm wrong on this- it was here say and we know how that goes, but what cha gonna do when that's all you got, I enjoy reading but if this was just passed out Thurs. or Fri., you are lying like hell if you can say you have read all the fine details and were prepared to make a judgement that would better this country on a bill that big, in that little of time. But there they were willing and ready, I may be wrong, but this is the absolute biggest topic of discussion on our plates as Americans today( the war is huge too, don't get me wrong).
Second, the bill itself, I have not read it, but from what the Senator from S.Carolina is saying (He's a republican), this will not go into effect until the boarder is secured- then all the other stuff too long to mention goes into effect, WE ALREADY HAVE PASSED A BILL TO SECURE THE FREAKIN BOARDER BUT JACK-CRAP HAS GOTTEN DONE! Is this the only way the Gov. will actually back up what they already promised us would happen, by giving these people Amnesty! This IS technically Amnesty because these "Illegals" can come forward and be made to pay a fine- ?- but they still aren't going to be deported for breaking the initial law that has been set for decades, that says if you come here illegally, you will be returned to your country of origin! In the end I could be way outa-wack on this, but as of right now this is confusing garbage. The old law is so damn simple, build a fence and enforce it. If you need some cheap labor- Work Visa- and when the job is done- Back Home!

Capitalism is great, but this is about security to me more than competition in a free market. Competition in a free market should be done inside the governing laws anyway. Anyone who say's Mexican's have a better work ethic than us is a dumba@#. I have worked with several Mexicans and everyone of them was bad about getting drunk and not showing up for work or either getting drunk at work. You cant tell me I am wrong about this because I have saw it first hand. Every time you liberal idiot's try to take up for the Mexican's you show the rest of us (who actually work and have worked with Mexicans)how little you really know.

I agree! I have worked Mexican's for several year's and I have had this same problem with all of them. The only reason I continue to employee them is because they are easy to find when I need a job done fast. All you have to do is ride around the crack house's on railroad street.
