sunny grove is being built by true south, a firm owned by the walters family of lamar county.
the center is taking shape on gordon road near the new mlk bypass. across the road, a temporary concrete plant has been installed for use in the bypass project. the bypass is due to open in october.

I wonder how far a health care facility has to be from a sewer plant? Since is one is across the road from this facility. I know my parents would not be made to be exposed to a sewer plant, in their retirement years.

I can asure you that it is up to code.
I just wish the students at Gordon would use the tunnel; afterall, it did shut down College Drive for quite some time while they constructed the tunnel. We got the tunnel and still added another red light. Now no one uses the tunnel and we have to stop at 2 red lights on College Drive instead of 1. Are there others that find this frustrating? I am glad we have the college but please someone encourage them to use the tunnel!
The tunnel has been declared unsafe for man or beast. It was closed before it even opened.
Are they building the bypass only for those who need a bypass?

I dont recall anyone suggesting it not meet a code. Someone wrote it met the code, the question afterwards asked which code did it meet? Evidently someone with a low comprehension level seems to be wanting to argue. Should this be the case, they can crawl back under their rock.
Not only did they shut down College Drive for a long period of time the constuction on the road is terrible it feels like you are on a rollercoaster going through that area. also they don't just cross the road at the lights they cross anywhere along that area. The tunnel was a waste of time and money.
