Hi Mac and good luck with your new trial.

Mac made many mistakes. He is a thief and he misused his family's influence and good name. Mac has always been a big talker and took things to an extreme but I don't believe he could kill. He played his game way too long and has lost years with his family and children. I hope he gets a new trial and or a reduced sentence. He's in until 2042 and that seems a little extreme. To be honest, I feel worse for Brutz. His time did not fit his crime.

How long should someone be in jail that plots the death of another? Maybe we should slap his wrist and give him an Uzi. Send him to school and see how many he can get before they get him. If he planned the death of someone he should stay in jail until he's too old to pick up a gun.

The only difference between Mac and the VT killer is Mac didn't have enough guts to do it himself. He tried to involve someone else.

Be careful who you plan to murder...they may become sheriff one day!

Funny that people wish Mac good luck but everyone wants to throw Rudy to the dogs. If they are both guilty they deserve to be in jail. One is no better than the other. If not guilty they deserve to go free. They cant be guilty until they are convicted. Mac has been but Rudy has not. Go figure!

Come on people, Mac is guilty. I dont care if you know him or not. Guilty is guilty. That doesnt make him a good guy. That makes him bad!! SIMPLE MATH HERE FOLKS!!

This is one time that I feel like the Dept. had a vendetta against that whole family. That went after almost everyone of them even Shanna. Give me a break I lost respect for the dept.then they couldn't just let it go after Mac was sent away. Going after an elderly lady come on now, that is just plain ridiculos desperation. They took two of that families children. One went to school and made something of himself and for what? So that one day they could he go to jail for some trumped up crime. Has no one on this site ever bought anything from someone else? Sorry, I will quit now but like I said I lost respect for the dept. When they went after the whole family that was a vendetta and it should have been a conflict of interest. That was using the power that was given to you make yourself feel better. How many raids did they have in all and on how many houses? And out of all of those raids how many times did they come up empty handed. Inquiring minds want to know!

Audreyh,
If one person in a family is caught committing a crime, does that mean the rest of the family should go free even if they have committed crimes? Admittedly, some crimes aren't as bad as others, that's why they have different sentences. Both were found guilty. If the charges were trumped up the defense should have been able to prove it. The jury must have thought they were guilty to have voted the way they did.

You can blame the "dept." all you want to but the fact is they are both guilty of the crimes they were charged with. If it was a crime against you, you would scream if the sheriff did not do his job and let the criminals go free.
