here's another school patrol shot...
gordon grammar school patrol from 1952....i have the names and will post them later...let ya'll try to figure them out for awhile first.
It is always so good to see those old pictures of the school patrol days. My Daddy really treasured all those times with the school patrol and the trips to Washington, D.C. I was able to go with him to Washington when I was in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I treasure those times I had with him. Russell and George also treasured those times with our Daddy. Not sure because Daddy was born in 1946 and this is 1952. He would have been a really tall 6 yr old but he sure did hold his head like that!!! Bobby Butler in the back row? Possibly uncle Jimmy Matthews in the front row?
Here's the names starting in the front row and going from left to right in all rows. 1st row, Lorie Taylor, Blake Traylor and Dorsey Crowder. 2nd row, Bill Brown, Danny Zellner, Jerry Brown, Johnny Watts, Lane Jackson, Danny Glover and Robert Brown. 3rd row, Lee Otis Butler, Billy Morris, Tommy Ogletree, Gene Knowles and Alex Grant. Top/4th row, Chief of Police Sam Taylor, Russell Jacks, JImmy Henry, Benny Ogletree, Larry Waits and Motorcycle Patrolman Basil "Tubby" Usery. 9 of these will celebrate their 50th Gordon Military Class Reunion this September. Only three are deceased and they are Dorsey Crowder, Jerry Brown and Johnny Watts

Yep, that picture was taken in about 1902 or 03 when them Taylor boys were sorta young. Jimmy Henry was younger then too.
Looks like the picture was taken on the steps of the old Gordon Elementary school. Gone now.
That was on the steps of the old Gordon Grammer School. A Long time ago, wish I still looked like that.
