the new residence hall will be home to just over 400 students and will open for occupancy in time for fall semester 2008.

Get over it!! You sounds sick with you own self. Everyone deserves to go to college if they choose. Move out of this town if you don't like it. These aren't Granny Clampett times you know.
Anon. 8:51 - I agree with you. If you can't cut the grade to go to college then you don't deserve it. If you didn't work your butt off in high school then you don't deserve to go to college. What makes me angry is that I had a 4.0 in high school and graduated a well-known high end college with a 3.85, and it took me about 2 years to land a job. The reason for this is that anyone nowadays can go to college so basically mediocrity is taking over. You can go to college even if your grades in high school were horrid....and places like Gordon accept extremely low SAT scores...so what is the point? There's no real competition these days....if everyone goes to college then basically to be seen as a better choice by employers one must now get a Master's degree...which I am now on my way to get.....Gordon is basically a 2 year extension of high school....
