city okays apartments; pares list of judgeship candidates...

at its meeting tonight.

the gateway companies will build 42 apartments off forsyth street on land between two exisiting apartment complexes for low income seniors. one bedroom will cost you $294 per month. two bedrooms, $345.

the firm will sell tax credits to finance the project and has done similar construction in towns around the southeast.

the council okayed rezoning property on college drive from residential to commercial for royce turner and then went into executive session to pare its list of candidates for the municipal judgeship.

this doesnt have anything to do with the topic BUT i hear that Thomaston is getting Atlanta Rhythm Section to play when the bike race comes through there. why cant we get something like that? is it too late to get Mother's Finest?

I think it is about time they put the tax money to good use the senior citizens deserve a place to live. More so than the low income people

Good question. Who are the applicants for the judgeship?
