with no fatalities yet reported. however, deputies are just now getting to some of the affected area in sandy point/hamlin road area east of roberta. several homes/trailers completely destroyed. many others damaged.

two macon teams did not travel to their state tournament basketball games set for tonight in columbus. the georgia high school association canceled the tourney, saving the macon teams a forfeit. they will play in the morning.
the lamar county trojans play at 5:30 friday in the state tournament in dalton. weather is not expected to be a factor at that time.
