fundamental changes in county elections process...

on the way?...maybe.

the county commission is holding a called meeting at 2 p.m. thursday to discuss an elections board. this could eliminate the current registrar's office and, perhaps, the post of elections superintendent.

Does this mean we can get rid of old T Street Barracks too?

no it does not it just means that if the county goes to an election board then we will have probably 5 people handling the election process and the cost of paying all these people plus providing them with office space, but it will take the pressure off of elections superintendent Kathy Martin.

That is a shame the outrageous cost of old T Street Barracks cannot be taken off because of this move.

Will this get rid of the Burnette control from the elections?

I am sure this is designed to save the taxpayers money and reduce the cost of registration per voter.
If it isnt, then it should be finger pointing time.
