What will be done with the Contaminates that are removed?
I believe that in remediation projects such as this, the mined material is taken to a hazardous waste facility, where the harmful contaminants are seperated and disposed of properly.
I don't know how the hazardous waste facility disposes of the harmful contaminants, but I'm sure regulators keep a close eye on it.
Bite the bullet and do it now. It will only cost more down the road.
I guess this is another site that Carter’s or Aldora mill created, it’s my opinion that they should have to clean them up. What about the trenches that were filled with toxic goo on Zebulon st., the ones that caused the ball field to be fenced in. That was a willful and deliberate crime, someone should be held accountable.
Do it now, before it gets worse. Reclaim the land where industry can use it.
I wonder what happened with the old city dump on Gordon Road? I know they used to burn the newspapers and whatever, when they could
I say us white people hire all the black people and let them clean out the landfill. They keep screaming they cant get a job because they are black...well let them have this one!
