Why gripe about law enforcement. Even when they make arrest there is some lame ass judge sitting on the bench that turns them loose. If the judge don't serve any justice, then those doing the arresting are caught up in a continous cycle. Just read the paper. The same one are being arrested all the time so that means someone else is releasing them as fast or faster than they are locked up. Blame the DA and the judges.

How right you are. The cops do what they are supposed to do and then these people get a slap on the wrist. I say blame all the laws.

Why should we ruin someone's life just for a little weed? These folks aren't doing anything 85% of the people in Lamar from 60 to 25 years old haven't done themselves. This situation has to change because it's down right insane. Meth. is one thing but pot is entirely another.

There is nothing wrong with a little weed. Just like a beer but you have to light it. I wish the goverment would quit wasting taxpayers money chasing weed. It will never go away, face reality.
All this effort and energy needs to be funneled into rehabilation just like A.A.
We grow oun own and it's our answer to a cold one.

I am sick of hearing about rehab.

Anonymous said...

Its still illegal and i dont know how anyone can change the law.

Viet Nam Vet,
First of all, let me thank you for your service to our country...we appreciate you!
About the drugs...many of our precious vets are drug addicts now, and how did they get started? A little weed! It does happen. Very few people that begin with weed stay just with it. Marijuana is not good for you physically either. It does affect those brain cells, and anything going into your lungs like that has to hurt them.
Drugs are not good for you, and they are illegal. Vet, do you want your son or daughter smoking weed?

All the names of the violators that either sold or purchased we listed under the "Police Report" in the Herald Gazette. You should have read them as I did.

Dmom,
How many people that have ever smoked weed, have never drank a beer? I would say roughly 100% of people that have smoked weed, first drank a beer. Should beer be outlawed, and the drinkers, makers, and sellers be locked up? Cigarettes go into your lungs like that. However, cigarettes are so dangerous that it kills people that don't even smoke them. Weed is illegal, not because it's bad for you, not because it is a gateway drug, but because the textile industrialist of the time knew that hemp could be used as a competing textile. They had friends in Washington, so they used their money and influence to further promote their industries by hindering competition, the most un-American thing anyone can do.

Anyway, I agree it's bad for your health. If I know that, and still make a decision to smoke weed, why do you care? Why should the government care? It is my body, my life, and my choice.

If it stopped with you, then OK, but it doesn't it effects your family and friends. Don't ever think it doesn't. Either financial or mental health your actions always has a ripple effect on people that are close to you. No matter what the action is.

If I started eating a quart of vanilla w/ chocolate ripple effect ice cream a day; it would cost a lot of money, it would be harmful to my helth, and if I got too fat to work, I could lose my job. Should we outlaw ice cream?

Anonymous said...

I dont think that ice cream will destroy you brain cells or make you steal from your own mama to help finance your habit

Anonymous said...

Well said, anonymous. Drugs never have a good ending. cmc, enjoy your ice cream, but do not try to put it in the same league with pot. I don't recommend cigarettes either as I have seen their results, but they are legal, sad to say. As I said before, many of our finest...the Viet Nam Vets...have destroyed their lives on drugs, and they started with marijuana.
