in R1 districts. this was expected after planning commission approval earlier today.
the council reappointed lynn wilson mayor pro tem with sammie shropshire abstaining without explanation.
the council also agreed to take resumes for the city judge post but leave interim judge franklin freeman in the post through march at least.
unexpectedly troublesome were appointments to the mcintosh trail rdc board. appointments were tabled with some members favoring lewis fallings and some favoring leonora ginn, both of whom currently serve. new guidelines require one of the two to represent a business and neither apparently does.
there were indications ginn would not be approved for the post by the county commission. both are joint appointments.

I'm happy that the Harrell St people got their ordiance passed, but you still did not solve anything. Those two people can have just as big of a party as 3 can. People need to understand that with the good (Grodon expanding) sometime comes the bad.
Since the council acted I feel this is a dead issue. Now we will have to wait to see if it works.
