E-3 matthew lassiter is serving as a member of the navy ceremonial honor guard accompanying ford's body and is in california with the invitation only ceremonial unit at present.
lassiter, the son of keith and lorraine lassiter of milner, will be one of five honor guard members assigned to stand over ford's body as it lies in state in the u.s. capitol building in washington, d.c.

I know Keith and Lorraine are very proud of Matthew, as they should be. What an honor! Matthew will remember taking part in this important time in the history of our country for the rest of his life.
