I wonder if 36 will be rerouted through the rock quarry? Wouldn't that make the quarry go away?

State 36 is a dangerous road and something needs to be done to take the trucks off it. Lamar county is at the dawn of a growth boom of the likes never seen before so as much interstructure can be in place before hand the less inconvience it will be for all of us. The rock quarry is a big blunder for this county. When Flordia rock finally leaves all they will leave behind is a hugh scare that the generations to come will have to live with.

WOW, I have never seen so many people upset over progress. Atlanta is coming, like it or not, might as well prepare. We all have been behind trucks on 36 that sent rocks and debris flying. It wouyld be nice to pass them without playing chicken with on coming vehicles.

Many of the trucks are trying to avoid the scales on the interstate, at Forsyth. However How will this boondoggle treat Barnesville, will it by pass it all together? Perhaps Thomaston Too? Seems Wasteful to me. Progress is not building more, it is improving what you have.

Narrow bridges, blind driveways, hairpin turns, grades in the road that reduce the line of sight and homes that were built too close to the road in the time when it was just a county road are not the best conditions for trucks crusing down the road. Especially when most don't follow the 45 MPH speed limit posted in the congested areas. I know one family that had trucks loose their load in the front yard and knock their house off it's foundation.

Growth is coming to our county. The only defence we have is to manage it. If we don't it will manage us. We can lead, follow or get out of the way.

I pray that someone with good cents is on borad to make sure that we do not come another Henry or Clayton Co. I would love to see our Co get jumped over. I HATE GROWTH!! ALL types of problems will come our way!!!

If it is coming, then then need stricker rules. Pike Co knows how to do it.
